Should I Carry out My Own Surveillance?

With suspicions aroused it might be tempting for you to carry out your own surveillance. The internet is awash with spy gadgetry that can be bought and delivered to your door, sometimes as quick as a next day delivery.

The main issue with using any type of electronic means of surveillance is that at some time you will need the actual proof. Many a time we have been called by a spouse who tell us that they have been monitoring their partners phone or tracked their car and have reason to believe their other half is cheating. They then go on to say that they tried to drive to where they believed they were only to be spotted.

This is where you need the services of a private investigator  to carry out a professional surveillance to get the answers and evidence you require. If you do your own surveillance and get seen, your partner will know that you are on to them and will be more cautious in the future when it comes to covering their tracks.

Quite often we have received calls from business owners saying that they have reason to believe one of their employees, who is claiming to be sick and that they have tried driving past their employees house or sat outside  for a couple of hours but felt uncomfortable in case they were recognised. Again if they were seen and recognised the employee would smell a rat and again would be more cautious. We call this “Surveillance aware”.

Once a person becomes surveillance aware they carry out anti-surveillance manouvres. There’s been a number of times when at the beginning of a surveillance we have seen these manouvres being carried out and later it comes to light that the client performed a little amateur employee investigation themselves.
