With the latest autumn budget of 2024 one of the main issues for employers is the the increase in employers National Insurance contributions. You may ask how does this effect employee absenteeism? Absent employees has always been a problem for employers & HR departments and always will be. Genuine sickness no one has an issue with but malingerers and shirkers are a different matter altogether.

With the latest increases of national insurance contributions this makes it even more critical that employers know that those that are absent are genuine and not only are they costing the company in sick pay but now also wasting money keeping them with the added national insurance contributions.
