A day in the life of a Private investigator .

"Wether your suspicions are founded or unfounded one thing's for Wether your suspicions are founded or unfounded one thing's for sure,

As it's the weekend and I have a few minutes spare I thought it would be a good chance to do a bit of blogging as I have not done any for months.

So then what's a typical days work for a private investigator?

Monday. 9.00 am My first port of call is to check on my tracking devices to see where they have been. This is for intelligence gathering purposes for clients usually prior to a surveillance operation. Next we have to prepare statements and affidavits for process serve tasks that have been completed.

11.00 am. An urgent request has come in to collect some court documents and serve them on an individual on the same day, this on top of the other two I have to do today.

11.15 am. A client calls to find out how the surveillance went the previous night before. We have been on a surveillance operation all week using Cars and a covert van and the evidence thats been gathered is damning. I now have to type up reports, burn evidence to DVD, CD etc. Prepare statements.

12.15pm I'm at the solicitors office on the other side of Warwickshire where the important documents that need serving are being put together.

12.40 pm I'm off out and heading towards the address of the person the documents need serving on.

1.15 pm I enter the housing estate and it looks really rough.

1.18pm I'm knocking the mans door. The door opens rather quickly, "Yeah!" "Dave Smith? " I ask like a long lost friend. "Yeah that's me!" "Some papers for you sir". after a bit of whats this all about etc.I'm soon on my way. Now then back to those reports and DVD burning.

2.45 pm typing the report out and the phone rings. it's a female who suspects her partner is cheating on her and asks for some advice on how we can catch him. I arrange to meet her the following day. I make some headway into the report but I know I have two more process serves to do today and I decide that I need to get a move on, so the report takes a back seat and will have to wait until tomorrow (Why didn't I delegate the report writing out to someone else?) After a lot of waiting around it's now 6.30pm I'm whacked, one person was in and documents were served, the other chap was not home so I will have to try again tomorrow. That's me for the day but I know the next day is going to be just as hectic.
